Ordinary Passport Renewal

A passport serves as a travel document issued to Ugandan citizens for the purpose of traveling abroad. Applications are done online through the DCIC Passport Portal.

Required Documents - Ordinary:

1. A printed and signed copy of the Application Form
2. Recommendation Letter and Recommender National ID
3. Residence Identification of the host country
4. Passport Copy of Pages 45 and 47
5. Letter of recommendation for the Embassy.

Required Documents - Minors: Below 18 years

1. Birth Certificate
2. A printed copy of the application Form
3. Recommendation Letter and Recommender National ID
4. Letter of recommendation for the Embassy.
5. Parents Passports
6. Letter of consent from Parents
7. If child is adopted, attach adoption order from High Court of Uganda

Steps for Application

• Step 1: Go to the Passport Portal
• Step 2: Accept the terms and conditions displayed in the Disclaimer.
• Step 3: Answer simple security questions
• Step 4: Complete the passport application form
• Step 5: Print Passport Application Payment Advice Form.
• Step 6: Make payment for the selected type of passport using the selected payment method in the selected bank.
• Step 7: Print Passport Application Appointment Form.
• Step 8: Attach all required documents above.
• Step 9: Send or deleivery all required documents to the Embassy.

Fees

1. Ordinary Passports cost 250,000 UGX.
2. Courier Fees cost 10,000xUGX
